This album is Heroes for Horses' debut commercial release and has been in the works for a very long time. After a lifetime of making music with and for other people and being a closet musician, Scott took a ten-year break from making and recording music after he was forced to abandon the studio he had built on Mt. Fuji, Japan. He moved his family to Hawaii after the earthquakes and nuclear fallout. Scott has been working on this record for the past 10 years while rebuilding his life, raising his daughter, teaching, and going back to school full-time to become a SPED/Gen Ed elementary school teacher.

Scott was a former assistant engineer to Robert Ludwig at Masterdisk in NYC, co-owner and producer of Headwound Studios (K.C.) and Memory Lab records (Tokyo), and for a time, produced under the name Drop D, making experimental/ dub tracks released on Alonetone.
